Linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for my very first Monday Made It!
It started with this....
and this...
and you get...
which eventually turns into this:
Another little craft-ivity was glitter clothespins. Who doesn't need those? First I crafted up about 30 of them.
Then I had some extra glitter and mod podge, so I decided I should glitter up a martini glass. Hey, why not? It's summer time!
I plan on using them to display my "no name" papers in the classroom. The clothespin, that is. I plan to use the martini glass for lots of martinis. :)
Your box turned out super cute! I am super tempted to make one. If I do I was wanting to spray paint it, so I am glad to see yours turned out.
ReplyDeleteIt was super easy, actually. Just make sure you get a spraypaint that sticks to plastic and you will be all set! I love spray painting. I seriously enjoy it- I must have been a graffiti artist in a past life. :)
DeleteYour projects turned out nicely. Also, I love those glitter clothespins & your martini glass - they're so glam!!

Aww thanks! I can't wait to use my new martini glass most of all. :)
DeleteI was just thinking today that I wanted to make one of those organizers! Where did you find the labels? Were they some you made?

Thanks :)
DeleteLove it! So cute! Definitely get the spray paint that adheres to plastic. I paid extra and bought a high gloss colored spray paint and a primer. I had to put 2 coats of primer on before I could even put the color on! I love my toolbox and can't wait to use it this year!

Yes, the spray paint that works with plastic is a total MUST have!
DeleteI LOVE your labels! My classroom is owl themed this year and I just have to have yours.... Where did you get them/are they available for free/a paid item on TPT?
ReplyDeleteThank you!

Three Cheers for First Grade!
LOVE the idea of spray painting the teachers toolbox! I may need to do that with mine. I am ADDICTED to spray paint. I love to find old treasures at yard sales and spray paint them. My husband doesn't love it so much, but he puts up with it. Hee-hee.

Diving Into 2nd Grade
Seriously, isn't spray paint the world's best invention? It's so easy to make things cute with it!
DeleteI love your teacher toolbox! I purchased one last year and it's still sitting in my closet. I need to get it done this summer!
ReplyDeleteI blog over at my personal blog Beyond the Gradebook and I just started my own teaching blog yesterday at Elementary Exploration. I'd love to have you visit my new blog! Also, I'm moving from fifth grade to fourth grade this year and I'm so excited!!

DeleteOk. I love your blog. I swear I never heard of it till I found a link on Farley's Currently for Write in the Middle, then found a link for "middle school bloggers" I say that in all honesty as my new blog's name is Lessons with Coffee. I was exploring around and found SO MANY great ideas that I love. I am making my teacher tool kit this week and will be sure to post. There are so many linky parties that I had no idea about!!!! It is almost too much to handle!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great day!

Aww thanks!! :) I am so excited!!!
DeleteLove how your toolbox turned out! Love... love the owls :) Is the box from from Lowes?
ReplyDeleteActually it's from Home Depot. They may sell the same one at Lowe's, though? Sometimes they have the same stuff. Our local Lowe's closed down though, and now Denzel Washington is filming a movie there. Strange but true story!
DeleteLOVE the toolbox color. I have one, but it's still boring grey. I think I am going to buy some paint and fix it up. I also love the owls that you have labeled. Do you sell them on you TPT site? I would love a set! I really enjoy your blog. Please come check out mine. I have just started up a new blog!
