It's true, summer vacation still has almost 2 months left to it... but here I am, making goals. I've always been the type of person that loved to plan way in advance, so I guess this is no exception. Seriously, as an elementary school student I'd beg to start shopping for school supplies weeks after vacation started. Oh well.
Short and sweet today! Heading over the linky to check out everyone else's goals, too.
I have the same goal of planning 2 weeks in advance. I was a little better this year than I have been in the past, but I hate having planning hanging over my head on Sunday nights - it ruins my weekend. I tried to plan on Thursday nights this year, when I could, and it made for much more pleasant weekends.

Planning on Thursdays is my goal, too. It's just so easy to slip into the "oh, I'll do it later!" mindset. I seriously have to find a way to stay accountable and get it done early. I'm thinking of making a "planning pact" with a colleague- we can check in on each other!
DeleteAs a mother to three boys, leave early as possible and snuggle with your little guy! They really do grow up way to fast and I feel like I didn't really follow my own advice until #3. Thanks for linking up!

Seriously- he is still a tiny little newborn and I feel like he has changed so much already! I can't believe how quickly it happens. Totally going to make that goal my priority this year!
DeleteHi Mandy-I found your blog by clicking on a First-grade blog icon (which I grabbed for my blog too)! Tenure year will be stressful, but just do your thing.
ReplyDeleteGood luck,

DeleteI hope to have my plans at least outlined 2 weeks in advance! It will definitely be a challenge! Good luck with your goals this year!
ReplyDeleteThank you- you too! We should do a midyear check in to remind ourselves of all our goals!
DeleteI have the same goal of getting my lessons and materials more organized. I have bought a ton of binders and sheet protectors - now I just have to start sorting through my stuff. Good luck during your tenure year!

I got tons of binders, too! I love shopping for school supplies... that's probably why I chose that goal. LOL!
