The end of my pregnancy was pretty difficult physically (I ended up on bedrest), my husband and I moved into our new home, and this little darling was 9 days late. Talk about it all happening at once! So, here I am, in my new house with my new baby, surrounded by boxes. We are deliriously happy and deliriously tired.
So, on to the good stuff- it's summer vacation! I still have 7 weeks left, but I started my fall prep today by shopping the Staples back to school sale. I scored 25 notebooks for only $6!
So, that's where I've been lately. To try to catch up and meet some new bloggers, I'm joining the Summer Meet Me linky party hosted by The Teaching Tribune!
Baby Jack is so darling! I'm not sure I would be back to blogging even now if I had him! LOL! I'm glad you were able to join the last Monday Meetup so that we all could get to know you a little better and meet Jack!

Thank you! I am biased, but I think he's pretty cute, too. ;)
DeleteHi Mandy! What a precious picture of your new baby boy! Congratulations! Do you have to go back to school in 7 weeks?? How long is the typical maternity leave in the United States? Just leave all those boxes. Enjoy Jack. :-)

Thank you! Believe it or not, maternity leave is only 6 weeks in the US, and it's not required to be paid. Luckily, my district pays for the 6 weeks. You can take an additional 6 weeks unpaid if your employer meets some guidelines, like having a certain amount of employees. I'll be going back in the fall though, so just 7 weeks left. :(
DeleteHe is so cute! Congrats!
