I've never done of these before, but here it goes! My "currently" by Oh' Boy 4th Grade. It was fun to fill out, especially on this lazy Saturday. I'm avoiding getting up and getting ready. I just want to lounge today!
Diane at Fifth in the Middle got the buttons created for each state for her Blogs by State listing. Check it out! It was a lot of fun to try to find other bloggers from my state. Right there, there are only two of us from MA. Spread the word to get others to link up!
So, I had one of those "OMG I am old!" moments this week. I was teaching a lesson on light, and the textbook mentioned how light creates images on film in a camera. My students stared at my blankly, and one asked "do they mean like film on the screen on the back?" I looked around at the rest of them to see who I could call on to explain what film was, and I was met with a sea of blank stares. Not one student had ever heard of a camera with film in it before. Not one. So, quick science detour to explain what the heck a film camera is. I did a quick google search and pulled up some pictures of film, 35mm cameras, and the process of developing film. They were shocked! They could not understand the concept of having to limit the amount of pictures you take because it cost money to take pictures. Oh, it's the little things that make you feel ancient.
